At approximately 00:50am on Friday April 15, 2016; The Galena Police Department noticed a car parked with it emergency flashers on parked outside a residence in the 800 block of Dewey Street.

As officers began to check the vehicle, they found it had been reported stolen out of Joplin, MO. Continuing with their investigation they questioned the occupants of 804 Dewey Street. Based on the information obtained, and with the assistance of the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office a Search warrant was issued for the residence.

During the execution of the search, officers discovered items believed to be stolen along with firearms, suspected methamphetamine, and marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The suspects taken into custody are Steven Shryock; he is currently being held in the Cherokee County Jail on allegations of possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, possession of stolen property, and a felon in possession of a firearm. His bond has been set at $40,000. In addition to the above listed charges; James Livingston and Tesia Deffron are also being held on Possession of a stolen vehicle and their bond is $41,500.
