City Clerk

A city clerk is a public official whose principal duties include keeping records or accounts for the municipality and other duties prescribed by law. The position is central to government transparency because the clerk is responsible for keeping and making official records and legislation accessible to city residents. Renee (Flora) was appointed City Clerk in September of 2010. Renee strives to preserve and promote Route 66 not only in Galena but the entire 13 Miles in Kansas. She is strong advocate for Economic growth in our community. Renee received her Certification as a Certified Municipal Clerk from Wichita State University in April of 2020. She continues her education with WSU, CCMFOA, and IIMC. Renee also volunteers her time to several committees and helps promote and host several events.
