The Governing Body is the policy-making body of the City of Galena and decides what programs and functions that City government provides, in addition to responsibilities set forth by Kansas Statutes.

City Council meetings are held on the first and third Monday of each month at 6 p.m. in the Galena City Council Chamber located at City Hall 211 W 7th St.

Citizen of Galena must reside in Ward 4 to show interest. Map can be view online at https://galenaks.gov/.

Letters of interest can be mailed or delivered to City of Galena 211 W 7th St. Galena, Kansas 66739, faxed to 620-783-5111, or you may fill out the form online at https://galenaks.gov/. All letters must be turned in by ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­June 15th at 12:00 pm.
