Galena Police Department and State Line Surgery Center conduct joint training
The Galena Police Department recently partnered with Stateline Surgery Center in an endeavor to increase safety for their customers and employees through proactively examining their active threat protocols.
The process began with multiple meetings and information exchanges to develop a strong policy with nationally recognized standards which work in concert with the more specific needs for their facility. We also conducted a walk through of the facility to assess the overall preparedness of the property to withstand a security threat.
Once the policy was developed, we provided a short in-service training presentation to their staff and empowered them to examine their individual vulnerabilities within their work spaces and explore options to mitigate them.
Finally we conducted a drill during non business hours which consisted of employees, role players and our officers in order to bring it all together!
This was a great opportunity for our officers, as well as the staff of the surgery center! We appreciate the opportunity to assist Stateline Surgery Center in their endeavor and would like to take this opportunity to offer our consulting and training services to other businesses in the area.
