School Resource Officer

The City of Galena is excited to announce they have partnered with the Galena Schools to provide a School Resource Officer for the District. This agreement allows the Police Department to dedicate a full-time Police Officer to the District throughout the school year.

The officer selected for this position is Patrol Officer Chris Corbit. Officer Corbit brings approximately 19 years of law enforcement experience and is excited about his new position.

A special thanks to Dr. Christman, the School Board and the City Council for their cooperation in getting this agreement approved. This agreement is another step in providing a safe and secure environment for the students and staff of the district.
