Ashley Qualls Groves

Mayor Ashley Qualls Groves was elected in 2022, moving from her previous position where she was elected as 1 of 3 At Large Council Member positions in 2013, and re-elected in 2017, following the footsteps of other members of her family, Ashley has volunteered her time and efforts to the Galena City Council.
She also devotes significant time and energy to several community’s organizations and activities. Mayor Groves has always been interested in active community participation with residents and encourages keeping residents informed through council meetings and social media. She encourages the residents to support the City’s businesses, restaurants, and main street revitalization and looks forward to providing a high level of communication with the City’s residents.
