Cemetery Bid Proposal

The City of Galena, Kansas is requesting bids for cemetery maintenance for Galena Cemetery, Oak Hill Cemetery, and Hillcrest Cemetery. Bid packets may be picked up at Galena City Hall at 211 W 7th Street, Galena, KS 66739 or printed and returned in a sealed envelope.  Bids must be completed, sealed and returned to city hall by 12:00PM on Friday, March 1st, 2024.

Trash Pick Up Delay

Update as of 8:45 am. Trash Routes are postponed for today. We will resume Mondays trash route on Wednesday. We will keep everyone updated on dates for trash service pick up. Thank you for your patience.
Due to the extreme cold temperatures there will be a delay in trash pick up. We will be starting today, Tuesday January 16th with Mondays route. Tuesdays and Wednesdays route will be picked up on Wednesday, January 17th. Stay safe everyone.

New Years Hours

The City offices will be closed in observance of the New Year on January 1st and January 2nd. City Council Meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 3rd at 6:00 pm. Solid Waste routes for the 1st and 2nd will run on the 3rd. For utility emergencies during this time please contact the Galena Police Department at 620-783-5065.

Christmas Hours

City Offices will be closed in observance of Christmas on December 25th and December 26th. Solid Waste routes for the 25th and 26th will run on the 27th. For utility emergencies please contact the Galena Police Department at 620-783-5065.

City Offices to be closed Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving

City offices will be closed Thursday November 23rd and Friday November 24th for Thanksgiving.

Solid Waste Routes for Thursday and Friday will be picked up on Monday November 27th.
